Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Horr is currently the CEO of Qatar Finance and Business Academy (QFBA) with a distinguished academic background that includes a Ph.D. in Science Education from Durham University (UK, 1996), a Masters degree in Education from Florida University (USA, 1993) and a B.Sc. from Qatar University (Qatar, 1990).

Before joining QFBA, Dr. Al-Horr was Director of the Aljazeera Media Training Center and Director of the Corporate Development Bureau. He was also the Director of the Arab Educational Training Center for GCC (2003 to 2007), and Assistant Undersecretary of Planning and Curriculum Development at the Ministry of Education (1999 to 2002). Prior to that, he was  professor of Science Education at the University of Qatar.

Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Horr has served as a member of the Board of Directors of Qatar Foundation’s Social Development Center, a board member of the Supreme Council of Family Affairs Social Rehabilitation Center, and as Chairman of the Qatar National Volunteer Award Committee.

Throughout his professional life he has worked as a consultant and professional trainer for various educational organizations in the GCC region. He has published over 20 books and articles on creative learning, education development and leadership.

In recognition of his outstanding efforts in developing the education sector, Dr. Al-Horr has been the recipient of several awards, including the State Award in the field of education, and the Ali Bin Abdulla International Award.
