Good teachers are also lifelong learners, continuously improving their knowledge and skills. Yet, the majority of teachers report that school leaders do not provide feedback on their performance, nor do teachers have many opportunities to work collaboratively with colleagues. Participants in this session discussed the state of the art in teachers’ professional development in both developed and less developed countries, and how systems might improve.
