Learners Take the Stage

Sep 16, 2011

The WISE Learners’ Voice program hopes to inspire and empower young people to make their voices heard in local, national and international debates, to pursue ideas relating to education and development, and to achieve concrete solutions to challenges facing education in their communities and beyond.  It is based on the idea that learners have to be co-creators of their own learning environments and that they seek for becoming active participants, invested in their learning.

Following the successful participation of 20 students in the 2010 Summit, this year 30 learners from around the world are joining WISE as full delegates and will play a prominent role throughout the Summit- participating as panelists, leading Workshops, presenting a Focus Session and conducting video interviews with attendees.

Introducing the 2011 WISE Learners

WISE reviewed many nominations for the WISE 2011 Learners’ Voice.  The selection of finalists was based on building a balanced, diverse and effective team.  These young women and men represent different regions, interests and skills. WISE is sure that these Learners will, together and individually, make unique and vital contributions to the Summit.
