Martin F. De Angelis is a young Political Scientist from Buenos Aires Argentina, who (while studying) spent 8 years volunteering in humanitarian fieldwork on the border with Bolivia and marginal zones of his country. During this experience, he lived several summers among native comunities of Quechua People (the remains of the pre-Columbian Inca Empire).

This life-changing experience pushed him to study social sciences and to engage in social issues as a profession. In 2010, he graduated as Licentiate in Political Science from the National University of Buenos Aires where he also studied Sociology. A year later, he was awarded the National Prize on Political Theory and Philosophy 2011.

He believes that young people should get involved in serious topics from the beginning of their university education, taking advantage of the energy and hope of youth. He has being invited to spread this ideas as speaker at the Official G8-G20 Youth Summits Paris, the World Public forum in Greece and other events in South America.

As he is deeply involved in youth participation in social issues, Martin founded a NGO called “Voices of The Americas” to gather young leaders of the continent and encourage them to think and work together from the early days of their professional carreers, aiming to have enough experience and knowledge of the other countires to facilitate the future of regional policy making.
