About the Project

The project aims to train students to produce videos. Students use the Internet and work collaboratively.

In this WISE 2011 session, Mr. Siddharta Fernandes - a Computer Class Teacher from Brazil - describes a project to bring together audiovisual aids and education, enabling children to create videos and share ideas about the process of film-making online. Since the process of learning is active, their levels of motivation and engagement are high.

Note: the video to which Mr Fernandes refers at the beginning of his presentation is an excerpt of 'A Vision of K-12 Students Today ' by B. Nesbitt.

Future perspectives:

Mr Fernandes wishes to expand the number of students who are learning to make videos and to invest in further studies on media and education.
