Ms Donika Dimovska
Donika Dimovska has over ten years of experience in health and education with a focus on promoting the uptake and scale up of innovations and their effective integration into systems. Her expertise and interests lie in the areas of replication and adaptation of promising practices, harnessing non-state models, innovation ecosystems and more generally, new approaches to development that generate and promote innovative practices at scale.
A Results for Development senior program director, Ms Dimovska leads R4D’s Scaling Innovations practice area. She spearheads initiatives that harness innovation and translate knowledge into practice, build communities of peer practitioners and promote improved use of data and evidence in order to scale up effective models that address systemic challenges. Prior to her current role, Ms Dimovska led the establishment of R4D’s flagship innovation and knowledge sharing communities in health and education: the Center for Health Market Innovations and the Center for Education Innovations. Since launching, both platforms have increased awareness of the potential of innovation to improve health and education systems and resulted in tangible impact on country-level policy and practice.
With a base in London, UK, Ms Dimovska pursues partnerships and engagements with European-based funders and partners working in R4D’s areas of interest.
Before joining R4D in 2008, Ms Dimovska gained extensive international development policy and practice experience at organizations including the Council on Foreign Relations, Action Against Hunger, The Trickle Up Program, Religions for Peace International and the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs.
