The World Innovation Summit for Education website (hereinafter “WISE Website”) is owned and published by QATAR FOUNDATION FOR EDUCATION, SCIENCE AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT (hereinafter referred to as Qatar Foundation), a non- profit organization having its principal of business in Doha (Qatar), with registered address WISE House - Villa 7 & 8, Qatar Foundation - Education City, P.O. Box 5825, Doha, Qatar.

These terms and conditions govern your use of our site. Please read these terms in full before you use this WISE Website. If you do not accept these terms and conditions, please do not use this WISE Website. Your continued use of this site confirms your acceptance of these terms.
 

1. Use of website


1.1 You may print and download material from this WISE Website provided that you do not modify, distribute, transmit, republish, broadcast or reproduce any content for public or commercial use without our prior written consent. 

1.2 All reasonable measures are taken by us to ensure that this WISE Website is operational all day, every day. However, occasionally technical issues may result in some downtime and accordingly we will not be liable if this website is unavailable at any time. Where possible we always try to give advance warning of maintenance issues that may result in WISE Website down time but we shall not be obliged to provide such notice.

1.3 Any material that a visitor to this WISE Website sends or posts to this WISE Website shall be considered non-proprietary and non-confidential. We shall be entitled to copy, disclose, distribute or use for such other purpose as we deem appropriate all material provided to us, with the exception of personal information, the use of which is shall be in accordance with our privacy policy available, which shall be deemed part of these terms and conditions.

1.4 When using this  website you shall not post or send to or from this WISE Website any material:

(a) for which you have not obtained all necessary consents;
(b) that is discriminatory, obscene, pornographic, defamatory, liable to incite racial hatred, in breach of confidentiality or privacy, which may cause annoyance or inconvenience to others, which encourages or constitutes conduct that would be deemed a criminal offence, give rise to a civil liability, or otherwise is contrary to the law in the State of Qatar; 
(c) which is harmful in nature including, and without limitation, computer viruses,  corrupted data, or other potentially harmful software or data. 
 

2. Third party sites


2.1    WISE Website may include hyperlinks to other websites. Your use of each of these third party websites is subject to the terms and conditions posted on the applicable website. Qatar Foundation has no control over such third party websites and the inclusion on the WISE Website of a hyperlink to any third party website is not an endorsement by Qatar Foundation of such website, or to any content, products or services available on it. Any use of such hyperlinks or third party sites is at your sole risk.

2.2   Any party wishing to link to WISE Website is entitled to do so provided that the conditions below are observed:

(a) you do not seek to imply that Qatar Foundation is endorsing the services or products of another party unless this has been agreed with us in writing;
(b) you do not misrepresent your relationship with the WISE Website; and 
(c) the website from which you link to the WISE Website does not contain offensive or otherwise  controversial content or, content that infringes any intellectual property rights or other rights of a third party.
 

3. Intellectual property rights


3.1  “WISE” and “Qatar Foundation” are the trademarks, trade names, and service marks belonging to Qatar Foundation. Any use of such marks without the prior written consent of Qatar Foundation is prohibited. Other trademarks and logos are the property of the parties to whom they are attributed.

3.2    The content and compilation of content included on WISE website (excluding any content posted by you), such as text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio clips, digital downloads and software, are the property of Qatar Foundation and are protected by copyright laws. Such copyright protected content cannot be reproduced without Qatar Foundation’s express written consent. 
 

4. Indemnity


You hereby agree to indemnify, release and hold Qatar Foundation, its affiliates, agencies, licensees and their employees and directors harmless from any and all injuries, liability, losses and damages of any kind resulting from your use of the WISE Website including without limitation (i) any breach or alleged breach by you of these terms and conditions, (ii) any claim that any content submitted by you caused damage or loss to a third party and/or (iii) any breach of any intellectual property right of any third party.
 

5. No warranty

 

5.1 Whilst we do take all reasonable steps to make sure that the information on this website is up to date and accurate at all times we do not guarantee that all material is accurate and/or up to date. 

5.2 All material contained on this WISE website is provided without any or warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for purpose or warranty of non-infringement. You use the material on this WISE website at your own discretion.

 

6. Limitation of liability


To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall Qatar Foundation, its affiliates, its licensors or employees be liable, whether in contract, warranty, tort (including negligence), or any other form of liability, for:(i) any indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages that may be incurred by you; (iI) any loss of data, income, business or profits (whether direct or indirect) that may be incurred by you; and (iII) any claim, damage, or loss which may be incurred by you in connection with your use of or inability to use the WISE Website (including, but not limited to, your reliance upon any content appearing on the WISE Website or any linked sites). The limitations on QF’s liability to you above shall apply whether or not QF, its affiliates or employees have been advised of the possibility of such losses or damages arising. 
 

7. Changes & Modifications


QF reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time. Such changes will become effective and binding after their posting on WISE website. You hereby agree to regularly review these WISE website terms of use and be aware of the changes made. By continuing to use the WISE website after any posted revision, you agree to abide by it.
 

8. Law & Juridiction


These terms and conditions are governed by laws of the State of Qatar. Any dispute arising in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the State of Qatar.

If any provision of these terms of use is held unenforceable, that provision shall be severed, and the remainder of these terms of use will continue.

Your privacy is important to us. This privacy policy is intended to give you confidence in the privacy and security of the personal information we obtain from you. However, please note that we are not responsible for any use of your personal information you provide to third-party applications or websites that may be accessed via the WISE Website. We recommend that you review the privacy policy of any third-party applications or websites that you use.
 

Collection of personal information


When you use our  WISE Website, you may be asked for personally identifiable information such as your name, address, date of birth, email address, telephone number. By giving us such information, you consent to our using it in the manner described in this policy. You may withdraw your consent at any time by emailing us at wise@qf.org.qa. We will return or destroy your personal information within five days of receipt of your withdrawal of consent. 

Cookie information, pages you have requested and your IP address may also be recorded by us and/or third parties from your browser as set out in this policy.
 

Use of personal information


We use personal information to allow us to process your service requests, provide access to privileged areas of the WISE Website, send out newsletters, personalize your visit to our WISE Website, and enable us to improve the services we offer. 

We will not disclose your personal information to any third party unless you have consented to such disclosure or where we are required to do so by law. Should you breach our terms and conditions or terms of use or if we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation, we may disclose your information to a relevant authority. Any disclosure of personal information will be strictly controlled and made fully in accordance with current laws in the State of Qatar.
