WISE will differentiate itself from all other education-related initiatives through its action-oriented WISE Awards 2009. This original feature of the event aims at highlighting innovative education-related projects, may that be tools, practices or processes, and fostering cross-educational collaboration.

WISE 2009 Forum challenges the future of education

Under the umbrella theme: “Global Education: Working Together for Sustainable Achievements”, the Forum will endeavour to rethink the education challenges of the 21st century.

High calibre debates and Breakout Sessions will offer an ideal platform to address the complex educational challenges that social, economic and technical evolutions will bring such as globalisation or the development of new human-technological capabilities.

The 2009 WISE offers a 3-day open and insightful programme featuring 3 major plenary sessions, 20 specific collaborative break-out sessions and a prestigious Gala Dinner to address the challenges of Pluralism, Sustainability and Innovation and in order to highlight latest achievements, groundbreaking initiatives and future perspectives in the field of education.
WISE is also a 72 hour networking -platform which will provide opportunities to develop international and cross-disciplinary connections.

Thank you for making the first edition of The WISE Awards 2009 a successful one, close to 400 entries were received!
The WISE Awards, a keystone of the World Innovation Summit for Education, is a unique opportunity to identify and reward outstanding education practices, from around the world, within the themes of Pluralism, Sustainability and Innovation.
An internationally renowned Jury has been entrusted with the difficult task of selecting the six laureates which will be revealed at the Gala Dinner on November 17th.
