WISE Panel at European Development Days: “21st Century Skills: Why Entrepreneurship Matters”

WISE organized a debate entitled “21st Century Skills: Why Entrepreneurship Matters” during the European Development Days, on June 7-8, 2017, in Brussels.

Discussions focused on strategies to re-think education systems and the role of the private sector in better preparing and empowering learners.

In times of disruption, educators, leaders and citizens equipped with entrepreneurial skills can tackle social challenges and help design knowledge societies. WISE speakers presented their hands-on experiences with diverse issues around the globe, including those related to youth employability initiatives, designing relevant education policies, strengthening higher education and the role of the private sector in fostering entrepreneurship education.

The European Development Days gathering is Europe’s leading forum on international cooperation and development. Organized by the European Commission, EDD attracts over 6,000 participants from the international development community, reflecting Europe’s commitment to a more sustainable future.
