Ms. Dalrymple has 12 years of experience in the fields of education and humanitarian response. At the start of her career, Ms. Dalrymple spent three years as an international classroom teacher and over the last nine years she has worked specifically in the fields of education in emergencies and humanitarian response.

While the majority of her work has focused on refugees and displaced populations, Ms. Dalrymple also has a breadth of experience working in cross-cutting sectors, including: gender; youth; child protection; psychosocial support; vocational training and workforce development; monitoring and evaluation; humanitarian financing; and humanitarian policy. Her technical specializations include teacher training and professional development, early childhood development, social-emotional learning, play-based learning and girls’ education.

Ms. Dalrymple has traveled and worked in a variety of geographical regions, serving in: coordination, research, program management, project director, technical advisor, and sector-lead roles. This includes: supporting earthquake relief in Nepal, leading the national education sector response for the Syrian refugee crisis in Greece, and directing education programming for Burundian refugees in Tanzania.

Ms. Dalrymple holds a B.A in Anthropology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, an M.A. in Education and Human Development from the George Washington University, and is currently a Ph.D. student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison focusing on education in emergencies. She has also served as a Mentor and Expert Lecturer on education in emergencies for the Qatar Foundation’s WISE Learners’ Voice Initiative and serves on the Advisory Board for Second Tree, an organization providing education for refugees and displaced populations in Greece.
