Mr. Ken Donkoh
Position: Co-Founder, Omega Schools
Ken Donkoh is a serial Ghanaian entrepreneur. He co-founded Omega Schools, a chain of high-quality but low-cost schools in Ghana. He led and managed the start-up company from zero to over 20,000 students and 800 staff in five years. He developed the Omega Schools business model (as his dissertation) while studying for his M.B.A. at the GIMPA Business School. Prior to that, Ken founded and was the Team Leader of Oguaa Business Incubator, a combined GTZ/Dutch Government-funded youth enterprise development project in Ghana. Previously, he worked for a number of international development agencies including the USAID’s POLICY Project, Oxfam, and the World Bank-sponsored Savanna Resource Management Project in Ghana. In September this year, Ken stepped down as CEO of Omega Schools to enable him to incubate similar chains of low-cost schools in other African countries.
