Learning World
Learning World is a series of weekly TV programs on education developed in the framework of a partnership between WISE and Euronews. It broadcasts 16 times a week to all continents in 13 languages. Most programs revolve around 3 stories of 2-3 minutes each, and highlight education issues from around that globe that surprise, inform and entertain.

Learning World: Sharing the Pain, Learning the Lesson

Part 1 - Peace Message, Brazil

Nanette Konig, a survivor of the Holocaust, and former close friend of Anne Frank, visits schools in Brazil to tell children about her experiences during the second world war. She has transformed herself into a special kind of teacher that helps children learn about the past in order to shape a better future.

Part 2 - The Art of the Matter, Qatar

Reza Deghati, a renowned photographer, visits a school in Qatar where he talks about his work in some of world's most brutal conflict zones. He shows students how he has captured human suffering and highlights the need for responsible photojournalism.

Part 3 - Battling the Mafia, Italy

Rita Borsellino's brother was blown up by a car bomb in 1992 for his role as an anti-mafia investigator. Today Mrs Borsellino visits schools in Italy and talks to pupils about the importance of remembering what has happened in the past and the need to create a future based on legality.
