H.E. Sheikha Noof Al-Thani

Noof Al-Thani has started as a Teacher and Teacher trainer at the Ministry of Education (MoE) (1994-2007). She prepared and implemented training courses and workshops for English Teachers between 1998-2006, around 1000 teachers attended the training courses. She was part of the curriculum reviewing committee at MoE for English Language (1999-2005). She was also part of the testing committee at MoE (1999-2003).

Since 2007, Noof has joined Qatar Foundation. She co-lead the establishment of Qatar Academy Al-Khor, Qatar Academy Al-Wakra and was part of the establishment of Qatar Academy Sidra and the expansion of The Learning Centre. Noof lead the establishment of Education Development Institute and currently she is the Executive Director of the Institute. Noof has a Bachelor’s Degree in Education majoring English from Qatar University. She is the first Qatari teacher to receive the Hamdan bin Rashid award for distinguished academic performance and the first Qatari primary teacher to receive the Education Excellence Award.
