Online Learning Multimedia Manager
Aiza Bissaliyeva is the Online Learning Multimedia Manager at Nazarbayev University’s (NU’s) Center for Innovation in Learning and Teaching (CILT), where she leads the operations of the Innovative Learning Studio. She designs and manages multimedia resources for online, blended, and face-to-face learning, and collaborates with faculty on educational technologies and AI integration.
Aiza co-led the WISE/IIE-funded research project titled “Outsourcing your Brain: Principled Resistance or Enthusiastic Adoption? The Diversity of Faculty Perspectives on the Adoption and Impact of AI at Nazarbayev University, Kazakhstan.” This work, part of a nine-university global research consortium, explores how AI is reshaping teaching and learning in higher education across diverse contexts.
As a key contributor, she helped shape the research methodology, including instrument design, participant selection, and ensuring ethical compliance and presented project findings in consortium workshops organized by WISE and IIE. She also facilitates workshops and seminars to promote the ethical and innovative use of AI in teaching and research.
Aiza holds a master’s degree from NU’s Graduate School of Education, where her thesis explored faculty perspectives on educational technology integration. At WISE 12, she brings regional insights from Central Asia and represents NU’s ongoing commitment to shaping global discourse on AI in education through cross-institutional collaboration and evidence-based practice.
