Ameen Abo Diak

Dr. Bagiati is currently a Principal Research Scientist within MIT Open Learning. Her current appointment focuses on research on STEM learning and educational program development, with emphasis on engineering, AI, and technology across K–12, higher education, and workplace learning, as well as the effectiveness of innovative learning technologies and pedagogical approaches. Through her 14 years at MIT, she has been involved in numerous national and international collaborations, including partnerships with schools and ministries, the U.S. Air Force, and NIDA/NIH.

In recent years, Dr. Bagiati has been working on identifying and developing resources to support teacher and faculty training related to updated pedagogies and instructional design for engineering and technology education. She is also engaged in multiple evaluation studies focusing on introductory engineering and design courses. Through her collaboration with MIT RAISE, she closely studies the development of appropriate K–12 AI education resources and programs across different educational levels.

Her research interests include early engineering, curriculum development and teacher training in engineering and technology, online learning, AI education, and international educational development.
