Dr. David Christopher Ross

A globally recognized thought leader in project-based learning, David is the former CEO of the Partnership for 21st Century Learning, a Washington-based NGO that completed its mission to develop a widely adopted framework for college and career readiness. Under David’s leadership, that framework expanded beyond the educational systems of the United States and found powerful advocates among Chinese companies, school systems, and universities, including Beijing Normal University.

Previously, David served as the Senior Director for the Buck Institute for Education (now PBLWorks), where he founded the BIE National Faculty and created and directed the PBLWorld Conference. David, co-author of the PBL Starter Kit, turned his attention to the implementation of generative AI into K-12 education in 2022. He continues to consult and write internationally on these transformative trends.
