Research Fellow

Hind Al Merekhi is a researcher and academic who works at the intersection of artificial intelligence, natural language processing, and Arabic language education. With a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Hamad Bin Khalifa University, she brings over a decade of academic and applied research experience in AI, specializing in data-driven language tools and intelligent learning systems.

At the Qatar Computing Research Institute (QCRI), Hind is part of the Arabic Language Technologies group, where she explores how large language models (LLMs) can support and enhance Arabic language learning. Her research includes reference-text generation using prompt engineering, the development of digital lexical resources, and the design of AI-assisted educational tools tailored to Modern Standard Arabic. These efforts aim to bridge the gap between cutting-edge AI research and the practical needs of Arabic learners and educators.
