Dr. Jennifer Bruder is the Associate Dean for Research and an Associate Teaching Professor of Psychology at Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar. Her work bridges cognitive psychology, education, and sustainability, with a focus on understanding individual differences in mental imagery, memory, and learning across diverse cultural contexts. She has led multiple international research collaborations, including projects on aphantasia, autobiographical memory, and teacher development in partnership with UNESCO. In her leadership role at CMU-Q, Dr. Bruder is driving initiatives to strengthen research capacity, foster interdisciplinary collaboration, and align academic inquiry with Qatar’s national priorities and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
