Dr. Mohamoud Adam is a dedicated educator and administrator passionate about student and faculty development, and organizational growth. His career focuses on improving educational systems and nurturing individual potential within higher education.
Currently serving as the Director for Student Academic Success at Georgetown University in Qatar, Dr. Adam develops supportive learning environments and oversees critical academic operations. He also teaches courses focusing on topics connected to higher education, experiential learning, future of learning, and the future of work.
Prior to this, he spent 12 years at the University of Calgary in various leadership roles, including Director of Student Services, Director of Academic Development and Support, and Associate Dean of Teaching and Learning. There, he significantly contributed to strategic planning and institutional effectiveness, focusing on developing programs and services that enhanced academic achievement and accessibility.
Throughout his career, Mohamoud has been actively involved in academic committees, ministerial-level advisory groups, and professional development initiatives across the GCC. His research interests include student engagement, first-year transition, future of work, and educational leadership.
