Dr. Norah Abokhodair is the Head of Upskilling and AI Transformation at Scale AI, where she leads initiatives to equip governments, educators, and startups with the skills to harness generative AI. Her work centers on human-centered adoption, ensuring AI is introduced with trust, inclusion, and long-term capacity building.
Before joining Scale, she founded Seyadah AI – the Center for AI Sovereignty, dedicated to advancing responsible and culturally aligned AI in the Arab world. She also co-led one of Microsoft’s first AI-powered education projects, integrating AI to personalize student learning at scale.
Dr. Abokhodair holds a PhD in Information Science from the University of Washington. Her mission is to build local AI capacity as a catalyst for empowerment and equity, enabling learners to confidently shape their AI future.
