Dr. Premila Hirubalan

Dr Premila leads the Youth Preventive Health Service, which provides school-based health screening, vaccinations, and health promotion to all children and youth from preschool through secondary school in Singapore. Within this role, she oversees the development and implementation of health-related strategies for this population segment, addressing the evolving landscape and needs of the community. She is currently leading the implementation of Grow Well SG, the national preventive health initiative aimed at fostering lifelong healthy habits from an early age.
Dr Premila holds an honours degree in Biomedical Science from Monash University and a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Melbourne. Prior to joining public service with the Health Promotion Board, she practiced as a general practitioner.
