With over 15 years of experience in teaching, research, and administrative roles, Prof. Jha’s expertise lies in water resources, environmental engineering, renewable and geothermal energy, and teaching and learning in higher education. She has supervised PhD, postgraduate, and undergraduate students and actively contributes as a technical reviewer for various reputed journals. She also serves as a technical advisor for international conferences. She holds memberships in esteemed organizations such as the Institute of Engineers (India) (IEI), the International Association for Water, Environment, Energy, and Society (IAWEES), Women in Geothermal (WING) by the Geothermal Resources Council, and the International Society for Porous Media (InterPore).
Prof. Jha contributes as a member of the Programme Advisory Group (PAG) Committee, an external expert member of the Doctoral Committee (DC), and as an expert resource person in Faculty Development Programs (FDPs) under the auspices of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (QAC). She has developed, organized, and conducted many outreach programs at the Teaching Learning Centre (TLC), BITS Pilani, including the International Conference on Best Innovative Teaching Strategies (ICONBITS 2023), and conducted several workshops and FDPs on new-age pedagogy, mentorship and handholding programs for faculty and research scholars, and leadership exposure programs for school leadership.
As the Institute-wide Coordinator at BITS Pilani for the SWAYAM-NPTEL program and iGOT Karmayogi—the digital education drive of the Government of India for training bureaucrats—Prof. Jha plays a key role in advancing education and learning strategies. She is also credited as an editor of the book Perspective and Strategies on New Age Education and Creative Learning, Springer, 2024.
