Education.org

CEO & Founder

Trained as both a neurosurgeon and neuroscientist, Dr. Randa Grob-Zakhary began her career in medicine, where acting on the best available evidence is fundamental to saving lives. She later brought this same rigor to McKinsey & Company, advising governments and global organisations on large-scale transformation in health and education.

As CEO of the LEGO Foundation, Dr. Grob-Zakhary sparked the evolution of the Learning Through Play movement, anchoring it in early childhood development and global systems change. She then became Porticus’ first Global Head of Education, where she launched the organisation’s holistic learning and psychosocial support portfolio for children in crisis worldwide.

Dr. Grob-Zakhary has also served as a juror for the WISE Awards and the 100&Change competition, contributing her expertise to recognizing and elevating high-impact innovations in global education.

Driven by the conviction that education systems can only improve when decisions are grounded in evidence and local leadership, she founded Education.org. The organization’s 2021 Education Knowledge Bridge campaign helped catalyze a global shift toward making evidence use a norm in education policy and delivery.

Today, Dr. Grob-Zakhary leads a talented and deeply experienced team that partners with governments and global leaders to strengthen leadership, align policy and implementation, and turn barriers into breakthroughs for learning—especially for the children most often left out.
