Fatima relocated to Doha seven years ago to join Cambridge University Press – Qatar. Her rich background in science education, leadership, professional development, and business administration has allowed her to wear multiple hats, taking on both technical and managerial roles. She has been involved in a range of complex projects in Qatar and across the region, including publishing, system-level analyses, impact studies, and mentoring. One of her most invaluable roles was her participation in the HP Cambridge Partnership for Education EdTech Fellowship – Gulf Cohort, where she supported a group of outstanding senior leaders from Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates in implementing large-scale innovative projects to advance their countries’ readiness for the future.

Before joining Cambridge, Fatima founded and directed two schools, complementing her long career in teaching students and training teachers. She has contributed to education reforms as a curriculum and assessment expert and as a national trainer at the Centre for Educational Research and Development (CERD) – Ministry of Education in Lebanon. She has also worked with international organizations, including the British Council, UNFPA, and UNICEF.

Passionate about student learning tailored to individual needs and preferences, she has contributed to many initiatives and research projects focused on wellbeing, life skills development, gender-related perspectives, and reproductive health.

Fatima holds a Master’s degree in Biochemistry and a Teaching Diploma from the American University of Beirut, Lebanon. She is currently completing a Doctorate in Business Administration at UCAM (Catholic University of Murcia) in Spain, focusing on the quality of education reforms.
