Haroon Yasin is the CEO and Co-founder of Taleemabad, Pakistan’s largest education technology organization which has transformed learning for over 10 million children through innovative multi-modal delivery systems. Haroon’s journey began unconventionally when, at 18, he dropped out of an engineering program to teach in Islamabad’s slums, discovering his life’s purpose in education.

Under his leadership, Taleemabad has achieved remarkable scale: 1.6 million app downloads, 8.5 million weekly TV viewers, an active presence in 503 public schools, reaching 141,000 students. The platform delivers up to nine additional years of learning compared to conventional delivery methods.

Haroon’s systems-thinking approach has enabled unprecedented partnerships with Pakistan’s federal and provincial governments, UNICEF, and the World Bank. His work has earned global recognition, including the WISE Award (2021), the Queen’s Young Leaders Award from Queen Elizabeth II (2018), the Waislitz Global Citizen Award, and selection for LSE’s inaugural 100xImpact Accelerator.
