Houriya Ahmed

Houriya Ahmed is the Executive Director of the Policy Hub at Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, bringing over 17 years of global experience in public policy, strategic advisory, and international engagement. Houriya provides strategic insights focused on human development, policy innovation, and global influence, aligned with Working at the intersection of strategic delivery, diplomacy, and policy innovation, she oversees initiatives across education, health, family, and environment, with emphasis on Global South engagement, multi-stakeholder collaboration, and evidence-driven policy advice focused on national priorities and international development agendas.

She served as a Visiting Fellow at the Beeck Center for Social Impact + Innovation at Georgetown University, concentrating on governance, social policy, and impact-driven innovation. Her work at London-based policy institutes saw contributed to national debates and government policy on social cohesion and security in the UK. Her earlier roles with the Centre for Social Justice in Gujarat, India and Sabancı Holding in Istanbul focused on areas of social justice and responsibility.
