Deputy Head of Education Reform

Ismail Sabry serves as the Deputy Head of Education Reform at Cambridge University Press & Assessment, where he leads business development and operations across the MENA and Pakistan regions. In this role, he works closely with ministries of education and senior policymakers to advance national education reform agendas and provide strategic guidance on the development of products that support effective learning.

With over 19 years of experience in education and educational technology, Ismail has played a pivotal role in developing award-winning digital learning products for K–12 education across multiple subjects and in designing and delivering online professional development programmes for teachers worldwide. His leadership in the EdTech sector was recognized with two prestigious CODiE Awards in 2022 — for Best Mathematics and Best Science Digital Products — underscoring his team’s innovation and impact.

Before joining Cambridge University Press & Assessment, Ismail made significant contributions to advancing digital learning solutions and teacher development initiatives throughout the Arab world, combining pedagogical expertise with technological innovation.

Ismail holds a Bachelor of Science in Education and two diplomas in Special Education from Alexandria University, as well as a Master’s degree in Mathematics and Statistics from the American University of Sharjah. His academic background reflects a deep commitment to the intersection of education and technology, and his career continues to be dedicated to empowering teachers, students, and parents through meaningful, technology-enhanced learning experiences.
