Khalid Abou Kassem

Khalid Abou Kassem is the founder and CEO of AlGooru, the first licensed tutoring platform in Saudi Arabia. With over eight years of experience in EdTech and marketplace startups, he has built and scaled AlGooru into a leading tutoring platform serving students across the MENA region. The company has delivered more than 150,000 sessions and collaborates with hundreds of tutors to support thousands of learners both online and offline.

Khalid launched AlGooru as a simple WhatsApp-based matching service before transforming it into a full-fledged platform powered by AI and data. Today, AlGooru focuses on personalized tutor matching, operational automation, and expanding access to quality education at scale.

Beyond AlGooru, Khalid has mentored more than 50 startups through leading accelerator and entrepreneurship programs, including Plug and Play, Techstars, the KAUST Entrepreneurship Center, and others. He is passionate about helping founders grow and regularly shares insights on startup building, growth, and leadership.

He has spoken at several regional and global events, including EdTech Asia, LEAP, GITEX, and more.
