Khalifa Al-Yafei

Dr. Khalifa Fadel Al-Yafei is the Chief Executive Officer of the Qatar Finance and Business Academy (QFBA) and a leading scholar-practitioner in international higher education and human capital development. He earned his PhD from Lancaster University (UK), where his research examined the employability of STEM graduates from international branch campuses in Qatar. His scholarly work has been published in respected journals including Compare: A Journal of International and Comparative Education and the International Journal of Business Performance Management, with a focus on transnational education, localization, and graduate employability in the Gulf region.

At QFBA, Dr. Al-Yafei has strengthened the academy’s strategic partnership with Northumbria University (UK) and expanded its academic and professional offerings to align with Qatar National Vision 2030. He has led several flagship national programs—such as Kawader Malia, Tawjeh, and the National Train-the-Trainer Program—that empower Qatari youth and professionals through innovative, locally relevant training pathways.
