María Paulina Arango is an education researcher and consultant with a Ph.D. in International Education and an M.S. in International Affairs. Her work focuses on educational innovation, equity, and qualitative research. She has collaborated with schools, universities, and education departments in Colombia and the United States, leading projects on teacher development, curriculum design, and inclusive education.

Her doctoral research, supported by the U.S. Institute of Peace, examined the role of education in the reintegration of ex-combatants in Colombia, exploring how learning can foster reconciliation and sustainable peace. This work reflects her broader commitment to using education as a tool for social transformation in post-conflict and marginalized contexts.

With a deep interest in culturally responsive pedagogies and the development of human potential, she designs and advises initiatives that promote active learning, student voice, and teacher leadership. She is particularly passionate about bridging local educational practices with global perspectives to advance more just and inclusive systems.

Fluent in Spanish, English, and French, she is able to connect with diverse communities and stakeholders. Her work draws on both academic research and practical experience in the field, allowing her to support innovative education policies and programs that respond to complex social challenges.

She is honored to contribute to the WISE community and looks forward to engaging with global peers committed to improving education for a better present.
