Khadija Shahper Bakhtiar is a passionate advocate for educational equity and excellence in Pakistan. She is the Founder and CEO of Teach For Pakistan, a national nonprofit that recruits top graduates to teach for two years in underserved communities and lead long-term change in the education system. Teach For Pakistan is an independent partner in the Teach For All network of 60+ partners working to end educational inequity across the world.

Under her leadership, Teach For Pakistan has mobilized over 600 leaders, reaching more than 32,000 students in high-need public schools and impacting the broader system through its alumni movement, who have expanded educational opportunities for over 1.8 million children across Pakistan.

Khadija’s work has shifted the national conversation from access to quality, and her advocacy has influenced policy reforms in teacher recruitment and training at both the federal and provincial levels.

She previously led Teach For All’s teacher and alumni leadership work across the Middle East, South Asia, and Africa, and has served on several boards and advisory groups, including the Punjab Education Commission, National Education Foundation, Rozan, and the Global Institute for Shaping a Better Future.
