Diana Buttu is a Palestinian lawyer based in Haifa. She holds degrees from the University of Toronto, Queen’s University, Northwestern University, and Stanford University. From 2000 to 2005, she served as a legal advisor to the Palestinian negotiating team.
Ms. Buttu has held fellowships at Stanford University, the Harvard Kennedy School, and Harvard Law School. She is a frequent commentator on Palestine, with writings appearing in the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Boston Globe, the Guardian, and the Financial Times, among others, and has appeared on all major English-language TV networks.
She serves as a commissioner at the Palestinian Independent Commission for Human Rights and is a Practitioner in Residence at Georgetown University in Qatar.
