CEO and MD

Shaveta Sharma-Kukreja is the CEO and Managing Director of the Central Square Foundation (CSF) in India. A founding member since 2012, she leads the organization’s work on foundational literacy and numeracy, early childhood education, EdTech, system reform, and institutional strategy. She is passionate about realizing CSF’s vision of quality learning for all children through government-led system reform.

Shaveta serves on the advisory boards of the Language and Learning Foundation (LLF), Leadership for Equity, Madhi Foundation, and Saarthi Education. Deeply committed to advancing gender equity and leadership, she is a founding mentor of The Udaiti Foundation, which focuses on women’s economic empowerment, and serves on the advisory board of India Leaders for Social Sector (ILSS), reflecting her dedication to strengthening leadership in the social impact space.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Shri Ram College of Commerce (University of Delhi) and an MBA (PGP) from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore. Her prior experience includes roles at The Boston Consulting Group and Citibank.

Outside of work, Shaveta is a proud parent to two young adults and a beloved dog. In her free time, she enjoys reading, watching Hindi films, listening to music, solving Sudoku and Kakuro puzzles, and traveling with her family.
