Former Vice-Chairperson of Justice Desk Africa, a South African Early Childhood Advocate, ECD Prin (Early Childhood Development Principle)

Theo is a passionate Early Childhood Development (ECD) specialist and social justice advocate dedicated to transforming education in South Africa. Holding a National Diploma in Early Childhood Development, she serves as Principal of Khanyisa Nursery and Inkwenkwezi Educare, where she has pioneered innovative approaches to holistic child development and community empowerment. She is also actively involved in Advocacy and Lobbying at the Indaba Foundation.

Theo has served as Deputy Chairperson of the Justice Desk Africa Board and currently acts as an Advisor for IRD Global on the Kuyakhanya Implementation Pilot Project in KwaZulu-Natal. A respected voice in the sector, she has been a panelist at both the Edmund Rice Education Beyond Borders Global Education Summit in Dublin and the CECD National ECD Conference, and has contributed a chapter to a CECD publication (Thought Leaders on ECD in South Africa).

Her leadership also extends to serving as a jury member for the Sustainable ECD Architecture Competition. A tireless activist, Theo has led numerous campaigns and protests against child abuse, championing the protection, education, and dignity of every child across South Africa.
