Mr. Kamel Braham
Position: Program Leader, World Bank Human Development Program for the Maghreb
Kamel Braham is the Program Leader for The World Bank Human Development program in the Maghreb countries (Algeria, Libya, Morocco, and Tunisia). He joined the World Bank in 2006 as the administrator of its global Scholarship Program, then moved to operations and worked on various education and capacity building programs in North Africa and the Middle East, Sub-Saharan Africa, and East Asia. Before joining the bank, he worked for UNESCO and held several senior positions in the Tunisian Ministry of Higher Education, and Economic and Social Council. Kamel Braham holds an engineering degree in statistics from the University of Paris VI, a Master’s degree in economics from the University of Tunis Al Manar, a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the École nationale d’administration (Paris), and a Certificate in educational planning and policy design from the Harvard Institute for International Development.
