Sopiko Beriashvili
Research and Policy Lead

Sopiko Beriashvili is an education policy enthusiast with over seven years of experience in international education, policy development, and applied research. She currently serves as Research & Policy Lead at the World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE), a Qatar Foundation initiative, where she oversees global research at the intersection of artificial intelligence, higher education, and workforce development. She is also the lead WISE Summit Editorial Team, shaping content for one of the world’s leading education gatherings.
Previously, Sopiko was a Research Analyst at the Brookings Institution’s Center for Universal Education in Washington, D.C., contributing to global education research and policy focused on EdTech. She holds an MA in International Education Policy from the University of Maryland, College Park (as a Fulbright Scholar) and a BA in Philosophy from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University.
Earlier, she managed international exchange programs spanning over 30 countries at the American Councils for International Education’s Tbilisi office, designing educational initiatives across Eastern Europe, Central Asia, and the South Caucasus.
Her work is driven by a deep commitment to educational equity, global collaboration, and innovation, with a forward-looking focus on the evolving future of teaching and learning.
