Kyle co-founded First Book in 1992 as a nonprofit social enterprise to further equal access to quality education, through a systemic, market-driven approach. First Book’s models aggregate the voice and purchasing power of educators serving children in need ages 0 – 18 to drive social change, removing barriers to learning and providing best-in-class educational resources to underserved schools/programs. First Book operates in the U.S. and Canada and has worked in other countries through partnerships.

Kyle is a Fellow with the Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship and serves on the Boards of Dr. Seuss Enterprises, L.P., and Ashoka.  She is a frequent speaker on social entrepreneurship, collaborative disruption, educational equity, and the role of women entrepreneurs.
