Chelsea Prax earned a teaching license with DC’s Center for Inspired Teaching and a Masters in Public Health at the University of Maryland, where she also became Certified in Public Health. She currently directs Children’s Health and Well-Being programs at the American Federation of Teachers. Prax supports AFT affiliates with research, advocacy, strategic partnership, targeted programming and more to address union members’ priorities in children’s health: (1) mental health, (2) equitable access to healthcare and (3) food security.
