Avelin A. Malyango
Assistant Professor of Anatomy in Radiology (WCM-Q)

Prior to joining WCM-Q, I was an Assistant Professor of Anatomy in the Department of Cell Biology at New York University Grossman School of Medicine, and the Director of Anatomical Gift Program at New York University Grossman School of Medicine. In addition, I served as an adjunct Assistant Professor at several institutions, including Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education, City College of New York; the Department of Basic Science and Craniofacial Biology, New York University College of Dentistry; the Department of Physical Therapy, Steinhardt School of Education, New York University; Pace University-Lenox Hill Hospital, and Department of Cell Biology, Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
I have experience as lecturer, laboratory instructor, and PBL facilitator in Gross Anatomy, Neuroanatomy, Histology, and Cell Biology to medical, dental, and physician assistant students.
My research interests include comparative anatomy and functional morphology with emphasis on studying locomotor apparatus of primates.
