Chris Klune

Researcher, Open Dev Ed

Christopher Klune was born and raised in Calgary, Canada where he obtained a Bachelor of Education and Arts. He currently splits his time between completing his masters in Education Policies for Global Development at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, as a research assistant with Open Development and Education, and as an evaluative and organizational learning assistant and with the Canadian Organization of Development through Education (CODE). Chris has also taught on 3 different continents: at the Canadian International School Amman, 3 different school boards in Canada, and in the Kibera informal settlement in Kenya. He was also a program coordinator with a large nonprofit in Canada tackling food insecurity in schools. His experiences in and out of classrooms have deeply informed his perspective and firm belief that accessible, equitable, and quality education systems are crucial for building a more sustainable world where all humans can flourish.
7On the whole, he greatly misses working with youth as adults don’t seem to find his jokes as funny.
