Haroon Yasin

Co-Founder and CEO, Orenda Project

Haroon stepped into the field of education as a high school student, establishing and running slum schools that taught street children. In 2013, at the WISE Learners Voice program, Haroon met like-minded young educational leaders and founded Orenda— aiming to capture the essence of good teaching and scaling it to reach underserved, hard to access areas. The organization produces an animated, gamified version of Pakistan’s national curriculum, which is delivered through a platform that is adaptive and understanding of the child’s learning needs. The platform has now reached over 100,000 learners across the country, earning recognition from Queen Elizabeth and Nobel Laureate Malala Yousufzai along the way.
