Juan Manuel Restrepo

Juan Manuel Restrepo is the Director of Cosmo, a movement that wants to transform the education system in Latin America through a network of high quality and accessible schools. Previously, Juan held the position of Director of Education and Culture at Comfama, a Colombian social enterprise that yearly impacts over 4 million individuals. His extensive involvement includes founding numerous NGOs and grassroots initiatives focusing on urban sustainability, education and culture. He holds a Ph.D. in Politics and Public Administration from the University of Hong Kong, complemented by a master’s degree in Governing the Large Metropolis from SciencesPo, France, and a master’s in management from Neoma Business School, France. His academic contributions have graced the pages of Stanford Social Innovation Review and Policy & Politics. For his work he has been recogniced as a Echoing Green Fellow, Wise Emerging Leaders Fellow and Elab Fellow from Columbia University.
