Sulaiman Musa

Sulaiman is currently a student reading Political Science at the Njala University. Sulaiman’s ambition is to lead the country and improve services with specific emphasis on strengthening the crippled educational system.
 
He is a leader of the Children’s Forum Network and was instrumental in Parliament passing the Child Rights Acts (CRA) in June 2007. He also initiated the “Neibah Watch” (Neighborhood Watch) program that mobilizes youth to report violations and abuses against young people in various communities.
 
In 2008, Sulaiman Musa was named National Child Ambassador by the Ministry of Social Welfare Gender and Children’s Affairs. In 2009, he also won the National HIV/AIDS for Children Award for his advocacy for vulnerable and excluded children.
 
Sulaiman has taken part in several events such as the 5th African Conference on Child Abuse and Neglect held in Addis Ababa, the 1st Think Tank Forum of the Islamic Countries held in Istanbul, the IDEA Youth Forum 2011 held in Istanbul, and as a Learners’ Voice participant in the World Innovation Summit for Education held in Doha, Qatar. He also participated in the 4th UN Alliance of Civilizations Forum held in Doha, Qatar, in December 2011.
