Dr. Yaser Bishr is a seasoned entrepreneur and executive with expertise in media, digital transformation, and technology. He serves as a Senior Advisor on Digital Transformation In the Chairperson’s Office of Qatar Museums. Dr. Yaser is a Venture Partner at Rising Tide Fund, a Silicon Valley-based VC firm with $800 million in assets. In this capacity, Dr. Yaser spearheads the firm’s investments in AI, Web 3 and deep technologies. He is also a regular speaker about AI, Media and Web 3.
Previously, Dr. Yaser was the Executive Director of Digital at Al Jazeera Media Network. During his tenure, he launched AJ+, one of the most successful media brands targeting millennials, and spearheaded the establishment of the Digital Division and launched the AI digital lab in Al Jazeera. Before joining Al Jazeera, he was a Senior Director at Lockheed Martin, where he led the Intelligence and Predictive Analytics Solutions sector. He founded and exited three technology companies.
Dr. Yaser earned an M.Sc. in expert systems, a Ph.D. in AI, and an MBA from Duke University.
