The World Innovation Summit for Education’s (WISE) theme “Imagine. Create. Learn.- Creativity at the Heart of Education” boosted inspiration for students, teachers and educators.

For three days, 84 workshops and debates took place at the Qatar National Convention Center. Educators from all over the world came to exchange ideas on “creativity” in the context of education and discussed its impacts on the education systems.

The summit saw more than 1500 education specialists from around the world. The highlight of the summit was the WISE Prize award ceremony. Ann Cotton, the founder of CAMFED, an NGO that provides education for more than three million girls in Africa, won the prize, worth US $500000, for her personal commitment to education. In addition, six outstanding educational projects won the “WISE awards” each receiving $20,000 for their efforts to provide greater access to literacy, increase creativity and employment.
