Global Advocacy Specialist, Education Above All Foundation

Ms. Boran CHOI is a Global Advocacy Specialist at Protect Education in Insecurity and Conflict (PEIC) programme under Education Above All Foundation. Prior to joining EAA, Boran worked at UNESCO Project Office in Yangon for the pre-service Teacher Education reform project where she was in charge of M&E of stakeholder capacity building activities, and development and implementation of advocacy and communications strategies for the project. Previously, she worked at the Secretariat of the United Nations Secretary-General’s Global Education First Initiative (UNSG GEFI) in New York where she was responsible for stakeholder and partners engagement, development and organization of national, regional and global youth advocacy workshops as well as global seminars and events, development and implementation of advocacy and communications strategies. Prior to joining GEFI Secretariat, she conducted a research for Innovative Teaching and Learning project at the OECD in Paris.

Boran was born and raised in Republic of Korea (South Korea). After completing undergraduate studies in Political Science and Diplomacy, and International Trade in Korea, she received M.S.Ed. in International Educational Development from the University of Pennsylvania in 2012.
