Dean Kline is Co-Founder and Senior Managing Director of USC Rossier EdVentures, an edtech innovation hub and accelerator. He is also a consultant with the World Bank’s EdTech Team. Dean has been a venture investor for 20+ years, with IPOs and several acquisitions among his investments. As CoFounder/Managing Director for Penn Venture Partners, he was Board Director for primarily early-stage companies. Dean was also VP of another early-stage venture firm. Previously he was on the founding management team of a hospital organization serving low-income countries. In addition, Dean was VP at a large manufacturing company; Assistant to the U.S. Executive Director at the World Bank; and an International Economist at the U.S. Treasury Department. He has lectured at numerous universities and contributed to the development of business accelerators, technology incubators, and regional innovation zones. He received his B.A. from Wheaton College and his M.Phil. and Graduate Diploma from Cambridge University.
