Dorothée Roch

Co-founder and Director, BECOMTECH

France

Dorothée Roch is co-founder and director of BECOMTECH, a French NGO which helps close the gender gap in technology. Before founding BECOMTECH in 2016, she worked for organizations such as Emmaüs and FACE, where her main objective was to help getting the long-term unemployed back to work. BECOMTECH’s main mission is to open up possibilities to teenage girls between the ages of 14 and 17 to explore computer science. So far more than 100 girls across France have already taken part in their extensive programs that span over 150 hours of workshops and immersive tech experiences. After participating in BECOMTECH’s signature program, JUMP IN TECH, the girls become ambassadors and help launch new initiatives. The girls are solving problems, empowering their friends, and defining the future of our world. Dorothée is thrilled to support the girls with the tools to become change makers, so that by tomorrow, women are fully involved in the digital transformation.
