Manzoorul Abedin

Senior Lecturer of Education, University of West London


Dr Manzoorul Abedin has a strong background in supporting teacher professional development and research-informed practice. He works across several British universities including as a Senior Lecturer at University of West London and as an affiliate Teaching and Research Fellow at Canterbury Christ Church University and University of Cambridge. He has mentored and supervised several teacher/practitioner research projects, facilitated pedagogic innovation workshops and managed teacher leadership networks and pedagogic resources. Manzoorul is a Higher Education Academy UK-accredited Fellow who has worked across universities to develop institutional research infrastructure, self-evaluation and feedback models and learner-centric curricula. Since his doctoral work (Cambridge, 2014), his main theoretical  interests are in sociological variables in education, classroom dialogue, epistemic insight, quality education and knowledge mobilisation. Manzoorul has published a book recently from Routledge and his key research papers are published in high-impact journals, such as British Educational Research Journal and Cambridge Journal of Education.
