Pooja is the Founder & Chief Executive of Arpan. She started work on Child Sexual Abuse in 2006 & has mobilized over 4 million USD towards prevention & intervention of CSA. She has been instrumental in leading the movement against CSA in India and spearheads a team of over 100 passionate, dedicated & empowered individuals. Pooja is a graduate in Applied Art/Graphic Design and in Commerce & has spent most of her professional career working in social change and development (over 8000 hours in the voluntary sector). She is the founding member of the SAARC Association for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect (SAPCAN) & a member of the International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect (ISPCAN). She has been awarded the Inspire Parivartan Award 2018-19, Architects of the Future Award 2013, Karmaveer Puraskar Award 2010, and her life work has been permanently put up as a part of the Waldzell Collection, in the Melk Abbey, a museum in Austria.
